The Cycle
ORLY
Piles of papers, chewed cuticles,
Seeking validation, ending up in cubicles,
In the labyrinth of academia, hopes entwined,
The cycle continues, a relentless bind.
Seeking validation, ending up in cubicles,
In the labyrinth of academia, hopes entwined,
The cycle continues, a relentless bind.
Essays penned, theories spun,
Minds ablaze, yearning to be number one,
Doubts linger, fears cascade, shadows ensue,
The cycle continues, a relentless brew.
Battles fought in solitude, unseen and stark,
In the chambers of the heart, where shadows mark,
Depression's veil, a heavy shroud to subdue,
The cycle continues, so what is true?
Amidst the lectures, the exams, the race,
In the echoes of silence, in the hidden space,
Seeking solace, seeking light, seeking rescue,
The cycle continues, a silent adieu.
Being defined by a letter, in the darkest night,
Yearning for dawn's embrace, for hope's respite,
Through the depths of anguish, the soul construe,
The cycle continues, to see us through.
For in the journey of the mind, in the depths we delve,
In the labyrinth of emotions, in which we dwell,
On every street, on every avenue,
The cycle continues, me and you.
